Back in Kansas

Got to go home to Kansas for a short visit. One afternoon I went to the pasture with my dad and brother for some fun. Dad tagged some calves. I even included a photo of my younger brother during our "senior photos" session that was not a final cut. The photo of Thayne reminds me of his personality, pretty goofy and just doing his own thing. Plus the photos were done for a pretty good price, for free. Lucky. It was a good trip.

So these photos are from last month when Hillary came to State College. It was quite a different crowd from those who showed up to see Obama a month before. Those numbers did not seem to matter though, because Hillary still won over Obama. This should be an interesting election season.

Amish for a day

So it has been a while since I took these photos, but I still love them and wanted to share. I was waiting for people to come check out books at this bookmobile, when a swarm of Amish children came to look through a large selection of books. I find the Amish to be very interesting people and when I get the opportunity to take their photo it just about makes my day.

Barack Obama in Happy Valley

So Barack Obama came for a visit to State College, Pa., on Sunday. Thousands of people from all over came to see him speak on the campus at Penn State. Here is a small selection of photos I took ranging from Obama speaking, supporters with signs, patrons lined up and even students running in to find a place to hear the Illinois Senator speak.
